    JackieLynn DeFries was born in La Mesa, California, April 19, 1952. At the age of 2 she was adopted by Fredrick & Dawn Woodruff. In 1959 her family moved to Oahu, Hawaii where she learned Hawaiian & Tahitian dancing and was 6 months from getting her teaching Diploma when they moved back to San Carlos, California.

    In 1967 the family moved to Wisconsin where her Mother was born & raised. She attended Valders High. In 1970, JackieLynn was 2nd runner up in the Miss Manitowoc pageant.

    In 1980 she moved back to California. Between Wisconsin & California she was employed with AMF for 23 years. She has been with her current employer, Ameriside for 17 years.

    She joined Orange Lodge #1475 in Oct 2002.

    Her accomplishments with the Elks:

    • 2nd place Loyal Knight 2005-06
    • 1st place Leading Knight 2006-07
    • 1st place Exalted Ruler 2007-08
    • 11 o’clock toast 2007-08
    • Officer of the Year 2006-07
    • Esquire to District Deputy Grand Exalted rule R.C. “Stoney” Bourke 2017-18

    She enjoys volunteering for the Down Syndrome events Orange Lodge hosts.

    She has been a District chairman for 10 years and has filled many positions.

    In 2016 her best friend and companion, Harvey Boelts,PDDGER of Mission Viejo Elks came into her life and they enjoy life together.

    On May 17, 2019 she was installed as the Association Vice President for the Orange Coast District serving under President Tim Jaeger.
